2016 Toronto Triathlon Festival:  July 10, 2016

For the 5th year in a row, Dr. Lopes volunteered as a Sports Chiropractor & Sports First Responder at the 2016 Toronto Triathlon Festival.  She provided care to both sprint and Olympic distance triathletes on site. (http://www.torontotriathlonfestival.com/)  

12th Annual Salsa on St Clair Festival: July 9-10, 2016

Come and share in one of Dr. Lopes’ passions:  latin dancing!  This weekend July 9-10, 2016 there is a full weekend of live latin music (salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha, Mexican folkloric music, samba), free dance lesson and dancing on St. Clair Ave. all day! (http://www.salsaintoronto.com/)  

ASL Level 2A Completed: June 21, 2016

Dr. Lopes finished off her 5th level of classes in American Sign Language (ASL) at the Bob Rumball Foundation of the Deaf.  It was an exciting feeling being able to actually be able to tell a story  in ASL!  

7 Bridges 10 Run/Walk: May 28, 2016

Dr. Lopes took part in the 7 Bridges 10km Run with her younger sister and father in Orangeville.  The family that exercises together stays together!  

Yonge St Running Room: May 5, 2016

Dr. Lopes took part in her first informational talk with the “Run 2 Quit” clinic at the Yonge St Running Room.  In partnership with the Canadian Cancer Society, the program can help you quit smoking by learning to walk/run 5km.  The program is for all fitness levels and offers a simple step by step approach […]
