August 27, 2017 The Summer of Volunteering continues for Dr. Lopes :)

Dr. Lopes attended the 2017 Invictus Games Volunteer Summit today as she is volunteering as the venue medical lead at the Powerlifting venue.

“The Invictus Games is an international Paralympic-style[1] multi-sport event, created by Prince Harry of the Commonwealth Realms, in which wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and their associated veterans take part in sports including wheelchair basketballsitting volleyball, and indoor rowing.[1] Named after Invictus, Latin for “unconquered” or “undefeated”, the event was inspired by the Warrior Games, a similar event held in the United States. The first Invictus Games took place in 2014 at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, United Kingdom.” (Wikipedia)

August 24, 2017 Dr. Lopes was out at the Rosedale Running Room in Toronto

Dr. Lopes had a great time out at the Rosedale Running Room this past week to talk with the Half Marathon clinic.  She got to talk about injury prevention, join them for a 5.3km run and then go through a full body stretching demo.

What a fun night out in the city!

Dr. Lopes is back @361clinic as of August 15, 2017 from the 2017 Canada Summer Games

Dr. Lopes is back from Winnipeg, Manitoba where she volunteered for 3 weeks as a sports chiropractor for the 2017 Canada Summer Games. It was an amazing experience where she got to network with other health professionals and treat athletes from all over Canada in varying disciplines.

We are happy that she is back treating @361clinic as of Tuesday, August 15, 2017.
