York Mills Running Room: August 4, 2016

Continuing on with a busy summer visiting various Running Rooms in Toronto.  Tonight Dr. Lopes got to visit the York Mills Running Room to do an informational talk, run and stretch session to their 10km clinic.  It was a great summer night out with a very enthusiastic group!

Yonge St Running Room: July 26, 2016

Thank goodness for freezies!  Dr. Lopes got treated to some freezies after joining the Yonge St Running Room Half Marathon clinic on their training room.  She was able to share some helpful information on do’s and don’ts when it comes to injury prevention.  

Yonge St Running Room: July 11, 2016

It’s always a nice treat to speak to runners who are just starting out into the running world.  Dr. Lopes got to join the Yonge St. Running Room Learn to Run & 5km clinics on their nightly run before speaking to them about things they can do to prevent injuries.  

2016 Toronto Triathlon Festival:  July 10, 2016

For the 5th year in a row, Dr. Lopes volunteered as a Sports Chiropractor & Sports First Responder at the 2016 Toronto Triathlon Festival.  She provided care to both sprint and Olympic distance triathletes on site. (http://www.torontotriathlonfestival.com/)  

12th Annual Salsa on St Clair Festival: July 9-10, 2016

Come and share in one of Dr. Lopes’ passions:  latin dancing!  This weekend July 9-10, 2016 there is a full weekend of live latin music (salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha, Mexican folkloric music, samba), free dance lesson and dancing on St. Clair Ave. all day! (http://www.salsaintoronto.com/)  

ASL Level 2A Completed: June 21, 2016

Dr. Lopes finished off her 5th level of classes in American Sign Language (ASL) at the Bob Rumball Foundation of the Deaf.  It was an exciting feeling being able to actually be able to tell a story  in ASL!  

Yonge St Running Room: May 5, 2016
