➡ You can send us a DM if you can’t find a spot online [https://361clinic.janeapp.com] and we will try to accommodate your request.
We will have close to 50 Athletes from 9 different sports (Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Bowling, Golf, Tennis, Table Tennis, and Volleyball) + Coaching staff, Team Managers, 1 Sports Chiropractor, 1 Athletic Therapist/RMT as well as ASL & LSQ Interpreters as part of Team Canada.
 WHAT ARE THE DEAFLYMPICS?
▪ There is a separation from the Olympics/Paralympics to have the DEAFLYMPICS because the needs of Deaf athletes are different from those of Paralympic athletes. Deafness does not require the same adaptations as physical or visual disabilities. For example, in the Deaflympics, visual cues replace sound cues for sports like swimming or athletics.
▪ The Deaflympics are held every 4 years, and are the longest running multi-sport event in history after the Olympics. The first games, were held in Paris in 1924.
▪ To qualify for the games, athletes must have a hearing loss of at least 55 dB in their “better ear”.
▪ Hearing aids, cochlear implants, and the like are not allowed to be used in competition, to place all athletes on the same level.
PLAN AHEAD and get your chiro/acu appointments locked in before Dr. Lopes jumps on the plane! ありがとうございます (aka Thank you )
